Professor Jianghua Shen

Jianghua Shen, male, born in 1985, doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor. In 2019, he was selected into the National High-level Youth Talent Program. He is now working in school of Aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University. He received his Ph.D. in mechanical Engineering from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015 and his Ph.D. in solid Mechanics from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2016. From 2015 to 2018, he was a postdoctoral researcher and adjunct Professor at Institute of Engagement Science, Osaka University, Japan.

 

He is engaged in the research of powder metallurgy preparation of advanced structural materials, lightweight design of structures, structural/material impact failure and other fields, including damage failure, fracture and failure mechanism of titanium, aluminum, magnesium and other light alloys in extreme environment. He has published more than 30 SCI papers, presided over/participated in 3 national and provincial key RESEARCH and development projects, and won the Outstanding Young Scholar of Explosive Mechanics of Chinese Society of Mechanics, the Youth Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi Aeronautical Society, etc. He currently serves as the Youth Editorial board of Journal of Modern Applied Physics.
